Early in my career, I became fascinated with the area of Cognition and Education, influenced heavily by my interactions with my mentors and colleagues, such as Guy Groen, Carl Frederikson, Walter Kintsch and Robert Glaser. I became especially intrigued by the notion of exploring how research on cognition and education could be applied to and advanced in the medical domain.
