A Comprehensive Atlas
It has been over 50 years since endoscopy was introduced. Since then, the science and art of the endoscopic technique has been continuously progressing both diagnostically and as a treatment modality. This development has opened up new avenues in recent years; thanks to the improvement in endoscopic imaging, the high quality images that were once thought impossible can be obtained, which enhance diagnosis. Furthermore, the advances have included minimally invasive endoscopic procedures such as endoscopic resection, hemostasis, and dilation of stricture, which have replaced the need for surgical interventions.
