A guide for planning, implementing and reporting country-level burden of foodborne disease

Estimating the burden of foodborne diseases is an essential component of efforts to rank risks of foodborne diseases, establish food safety priorities, and efficiently allocate resources for disease prevention. To obtain a better insight into the global and regional burden of foodborne diseases, in 2007 WHO established an initiative to estimate the global burden of foodborne disease.
