One of the biggest challenges to meeting today’s greatest health challenges is how to break the silos that dominate the planning, design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of health strategies, programmes and activities. Too often these silos are dominated by a small group of experts in a top-down approach, without considering the wider stakeholders in the policy process or the equally important bottom-up approach.
