The Action plan for the health sector response to HIV in the WHO European Region is a continuation of the work began by and lessons learnt from the European Action plan for HIV/AIDS 2012–2015. This Action plan promotes a public health approach, comprehensive combination HIV prevention, access to HIV testing and offering treatment to all people living with HIV, including children, adolescents, adults, pregnant and breastfeeding women, and people with coinfections.
