Since 1972, neurosurgeons met once every few years to report their studies on cerebral vasospasm and discuss future directions in clinical and basic science research of vasospasm. Cerebral vasospasm remains, however, a dark castle that is resistant to any attempts of having its doors cranked open, and therefore, it is resistant to all known vasodilators.
