Undoubtedly, there is a worldwide epidemic of obesity, the metabolic syndrome and type 2 diabetes, and with these changes comes controversy! What is the cause of the obesity epidemic? Is the increase in type 2 diabetes caused by obesity alone or are there other factors involved, such as genetics?
