This work is dedicated to George Bonney who began preparation of the second edition of Surgical Disorders of the Peripheral Nerves shortly after the publication of the first. The structure of the book was well advanced by the time of his death. One main reason for undertaking this task was the rising tide of iatrogenous injuries.
