It has been a privilege for us to write the preface for this book, Robotics in Genitourinary Surgery. The da Vinci robot is a staggeringly sophisticated tool, although it has been around for only a decade and has witnessed a logarithmic increase in numbers of robot-assisted surgeries since its inception.
