A Guide for Practical Understanding
and Treatment

It has been nearly 35 years since the first edition of Bronchial Asthma: A Guide for Practical Treatment was published. At that time, virtually every patient with asthma was diagnosed and treated by a specialist. The dramatic changes in health care have necessitated that most evaluations for people with asthma be performed by a primary care specialist and/or physician assistants.
