Since its discovery as a TNF-inducible gene in endothelial cells in 1990 by Dr. Vishva Dixit’s group, the intriguing protein A20 has been the subject of more than 820 manuscripts. The general consensus after more than two decades of A20 research is that this protein has evolved to guard against insults that incite inflammation.
