This project began a few years ago at the suggestion of many colleagues who proposed that it was time for a new book on vitreous. In 2014, we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first vitreous book published by Springer (as well as Springer’s 50th anniversary of publishing in America), and this new book reflects how much more has been learned about vitreous since 1989.
