Psoriasis has many different connotations to both those who are and who are not afflicted. John Updike devoted the chapter “At war with my skin” to psoriasis in his memoirs, Self-consciousness [1]. He observed that psoriasis keeps you thinking: “Strategies of concealment ramify, and self-examination is endless.”
