The planning of this book evolved from serendipity and history. The Center for Perinatal Biology was turning 40 and we wanted to celebrate. On February 11, 2013, some of the most illustrious names in the field of Perinatal Biology as well as a Nobel Laureate and researchers and friends from around the globe gathered at Loma Linda University, including six past presidents of the Society of Gynecologic Investigation.
