The aim of this book is to provide an ample illustration of the melanocytic lesions as we know them today, emphasizing those which are important in the distinction between nevi and melanomas. We propose this color book as an atlas, collecting as many cases possible of the most important or challenging melanocytic lesions. We have tried to depict not only stereotypical examples, but also part of the seemingly limitless variability in appearance that melanocytic neoplasms pose.
