Skin tumors are undoubtedly one of the most important topics in dermatologic practice. Due to the variety of tissues present in normal skin, these tumors have numerous types and subtypes. The incidence of benign skin tumors is not low at all. The elderly, especially, may have hundreds of benign skin tumors. Some benign tumors have important implications as they may be the first markers of a syndrome and they may also lead to functional or cosmetic problems.
