The first edition of Samii’s Essentials in Neurosurgery was published in 2008. This book was very well accepted by the neurosurgical community around the world, and several colleagues asked us to organize a second edition. With the objective of giving the continuity of Samii’s philosophy of management principles in the different fields of neurological surgery, we decided to publish a second edition of our book. As in the first edition, all chapters were written by Prof. Samii’s fellows and associates.
