Atlas of Ultrasound Guided Musculoskeletal Injections is intended to be a comprehensive source of ultrasound-guided techniques to help physicians in their practice to heal, decrease pain, and increase their patients’ quality of life. Advances in ultrasound technology have created an environment where the ultrasound probe has become our stethoscope. It helps both diagnostically and therapeutically by guiding a needle and its contents to a pain generator to provide relief. The book is not intended to support the use of corticosteroids or other injectates or to abuse overutilization of ultrasonography. The proper use of musculoskeletal ultrasound in properly trained hands can provide diagnostic and therapeutic benefits to patients.
