It is our hope that this book will help and assist in the practical diagnostic work of surgical pathology of the salivary glands but also serve as a textbook for students, ENT surgeons and head and neck oncologists. The diagnostic difficulties in salivary gland pathology lie primarily in the fact that most practising pathologists do not come across these lesions on a daily basis, rather than that the lesions are more difficult than other pathologies in the body.
