Oculoplasty has been very close to my heart. Over the years, I have enjoyed trying to solve the jigsaw puzzle of reconstructing a lid defect following tumour excision. Sometimes I can plan the surgery beforehand, but in some situations the planning is completely altered at the operating table. There you have to make instant decisions.
