The 3rd international workshop on Multimodal Brain Image Analysis (MBIA) was held on September 22, 2013 in conjunction with the 16th international conference on Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Intervention (MICCAI) at the Toyoda Auditorium Complex, Higashiyama Campus, Nagoya University, Nagoya, Japan. The objective of MBIA 2013 was to move forward the state of the art in analysis methodologies, algorithms, software systems, validation approaches, benchmark datasets, neuroscience, and clinical applications.
