The Brain Research Foundation Symposium Series was born in Chicago, Illinois, at a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Children’s Brain Research Foundation. We had fi nished our regular business when our Chairman, Norm Bobins, asked in his characteristic way, “Isn’t there something more we can do?” This led to a spirited discussion and ultimately the following thought.
