Now that this monograph has been “put to bed,” we thank the series editor, Dr. Liang Cheng, for providing us this opportunity to add to this exciting series of atlases focused on the modern classification of pathologic conditions by organ type. We had been able to turn aside multiple other competing requests, but his charm and reputation for high-quality publications swayed us to undertake this challenge, and in the end we are glad that we did deliver the product before you.
