Who would’ve or could’ve imagined how different the world would be when we first embarked on this project over a year ago? Upon reflection, a couple of things truly stand out to me. For one, the COVID pandemic has reinforced that we are truly an interconnected global community, whether it be in relation to the spread of the virus or, more importantly, the concerted international effort to develop effective treatment strategies including vaccines. Parallels can be drawn with the scope of this textbook.
