Dear Colleagues and Friends, as we write this in 2021, we reflect on what a year 2020 has been. Unfortunately, for the first time in its history, the annual FESSH congress was prevented from being held due to the pandemic. It was due to be held in June 2020 in Basel, Switzerland. It was, however, replaced by a brilliant FESSH (ON)-lineweek, at the beginning of September 2020, organized at short notice and in very testing circumstances.
