The WHO Regional Office for Europe has supported its 53 Member States in alcohol-related health promotion, disease prevention, evaluation and surveillance activities in line with the regional resolutions on alcohol. As part of this process, WHO and the European Commission jointly developed this volume – bringing together a series of scientific background documents to inform and support national policy-making processes.
