The fi nal chapter of this book arrived the day that the US Preventive Services Task Force issued its recommendation that men should forego PSA screening for early diagnosis of prostate cancer. What a mess! Not the chapter – it was brilliant – but rather the fi restorm created by this stance taken by individuals that have never had primary responsibility caring for patients with the second most common cause of cancer death in men.
