First, it is a true honor and privilege to have been asked by my mentor and friend, Allen Putterman, to continue his scriptural legacy with the opportunity to become
the editor of Cosmetic Oculoplastic Surgery, beginning with this fourth edition. At first, I accepted the invitation with serious trepidation as I was unsure of what I could add to this highly acclaimed text book that has earned the distinction of being one of the world’s best reference texts on aesthetic periorbital procedures and techniques from the very start and has continued to improve through three editions.
