I am delighted to have been asked to write the foreword for this book. The authors Muhammad Munir, Siamak Zohari, and Mikael Berg are well-qualified veterinary virologists with extensive experience on the Peste des Petite Ruminants Virus (PPRV). They have done an excellent job addressing the aspects of the PPRV research findings. I am also a veterinary virologist with more than 25 years of research experience on paramyxoviruses, a family of viruses that include PPRV.
