The objective of the fourth volume in the series on Advances in Electromagnetic Fields in Living Systems remains the same as previous volumes. It is to add to the scientific and professional literature a number of significant advances in this area of research. These books are intended to serve the needs of graduate students and of researchers, as well as those of specialists in other fields who may desire an assessment of the advances in bioelectromagnetics and its capabilities as a strategy with the potential for solving specific problems.
