This book was initially conceived as a unitary group of chapters on “Pathology of the Head and Neck”, to be published in German within the series of volumes of Remmele’s Textbook of Pathology. From the outset, the editorial approach was to concentrate on pathological entities that are either unique to or quite characteristic of the head and neck.
