All over the world research is being undertaken to improve the treatment outcome of peripheral nerve lesions. Questions over questions arise. Is autologous nerve grafting still the gold standard for bridging defects? Have alternative techniques for overcoming defects of peripheral nerves reached a level to replace autografting?
