When Dr. Aaron Hsueh and his colleagues reported the discovery of the relaxin receptors in Science in 2002, the editorial written by Dr. Richard Ivell was entitled “This hormone has been relaxin’ too long!” Indeed, despite the fact that relaxin was the first peptide hormone discovered more than 80 years ago in 1926, the study of this peptide was carried out only in a limited number of laboratories until now.
