The second edition of Blood Pressure Monitoring in Cardiovascular Medicine and Therapeutics is devoted to the topic of circadian variation in cardiovascular disease, with a special emphasis on the evaluation and treatment of hypertension. Clinical and device research related to self and ambulatory monitoring of the blood pressure and heart rate have led to significant advances in our ability to detect various clinical entities in patients with hypertension and its vascular complications.
