This publication aims at presenting a theoretical framework and guidelines for intercultural treatment of complex posttraumatic states and PTSD, together with a set of illustrative case presentations of treatment encounters in different settings throughout the world. It aims at combining knowledge from psychiatry, anthropology, and social psychology in an in-depth analysis of complex treatment tasks emerging in a culturally sensitive treatment of complex trauma reactions and PTSD.
