Clinical Examination and Differential Diagnosis of Skin Lesions

Clinical Examination and Differential Diagnosis of Skin Lesions-1

Dan Lipsker

2013

This book has several objectives, the fi rst being to guide the reader through a step-by-step training in dermatological examination. This essential approach is often neglected in medical studies and reference books which focus on teaching of diseases, especially their pathogenesis, prognosis, and treatment. Training in dermatological examination relies mainly on visual recognition and requires that the text be entirely focused on the description of lesions as well as being very richly illustrated. The fi rst part of this book is exclusively dedicated to the
identi fi cation of the primary lesions of the skin, which can be assimilated to the alphabet that needs to be learned to diagnose skin disorders.
