Biological Materials and Methods

The repair of musculoskeletal tissue is a vital concern of all surgical specialties, most notably orthopedics and related disciplines. While many of the surgical techniques in current use have their basis in methods that have been historically practiced, we now stand on the cusp of a revolution in musculoskeletal repair based on new tools that have recently become available or are about to emerge into clinical practice.
