Dental Pathology-1

Pieter J. Slootweg

Second Edition

Diagnosis and treatment of diseases in the oral cavity is quite often hampered by the fact that this part of the human body is a subject of attention for two different branches of health care: medicine and dentistry. Therefore, there may be an overlap of both expertises in some areas but also a neglection of others. Such an area underdeveloped in the treatment of patients with diseases of the oral cavity is the adequate diagnostic application of knowledge of the gross and microscopical appearances shown by af fl ictions of the teeth and their surrounding structures.
