After an intense year of planning, writing, and editing this volume, it is fair to surmise that our devotion to the topic of meeting the oral health care needs of older adults has become a professional obsession.We feared we might be losing perspective on the importance of advancing this objective given our coincident immersion in the ElderSmile program at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine.
