This volume ‘Basal Ganglia IX’ is derived from the proceedings of the Ninth Triennial Meeting of the International Basal Ganglia Society (IBAGS). The meeting was held from 2 to 6 September 2007 at Hotel Zuiderduin, Egmond aan Zee, the Netherlands. Basal ganglia researchers meet each other during the years on several occasions and in various combinations.
