Interventional radiology has become a most attractive subspecialty in radiology owing to continuous growth over the past 30 years. New instruments, innovative techniques, and new imaging modalities were the basis of such a remarkable development. Computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance (MR) imaging, and ultrasound have emerged as important techniques for nonvascular interventions such as percutaneous biopsy, drainage, ablation, and neurolysis.
