A Physician’s Guide to ADHD
ADHD, or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, is a syndrome commonly encountered in children and adolescents, and occasionally in adults. It is often associated with learning disabilities, resulting in failure to achieve the expected level of academic performance. At least one child in every classroom and approximately 3–5% of the school-age population is inattentive, hyperactive, or both.
