Cardiac masses pose difficult diagnostic challenges. Although many cardiac tumours are today operable, the complexity of any surgery involved requires accurate pre-operative imaging. Several imaging modalities including cardiac magnetic resonance and computed tomography are used for this assessment, often used in combination.
