Fundamentals of Digital Imaging in Medicine-1

Do we really need another digital imaging text? What, if anything, is special about this one? The students I teach, medical radiation science undergraduates, have said ‘Yes we do’. The rapid movement of medical imaging into digital technology requires graduates in the medical radiation sciences to have a sound understanding of the fundamentals of digital imaging theory and image processing  areas that were formerly the preserve of engineers and computer scientists.
