A new edition of a book is warranted when there is a need to update the book with current information and delete all obsolete information. Although research in nuclear medicine involving molecular imaging has progressed very well over the years through the discovery of newer radiopharmaceuticals, there are only a few radiopharmaceuticals that have been introduced into routine clinical use since the publication of the last edition.
