Dr. Sainz de la Maza published the first edition of this text on the sclera over 18 years ago, as a consequence of Dr. Sainz de la Maza being unable to find a copy of a monograph on the subject by Dr. Hazleman and Mr. Watson upon her return to Spain after her fellowship in Boston with me in Ocular Immunology and Uveitis.
