It has been 13 years since the publication of the second edition of Smith’s Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery . Since that time, our specialty has continued to grow and flourish. Advancements in technology and surgical technique have allowed the creation of many new procedures, diagnostic modalities, and medical treatments for disease involving the eyelids, orbit, and lacrimal system.
