Recent years have witnessed important progress in the imaging of brain tumors. In the case of magnetic resonance imaging, increasingly sophisticated contrast agents afford a more comprehensive study of blood-brain barrier abnormalities in clinical practice, and at the same time new techniques have been designed to evaluate the morphology of local and distant metastases.
