Although hard to believe , we have already reached the third edition of the book since its first publication in 2002. While we are fully aware that no major breakthroughs have occurred in the management of diabetic foot problems during this period, significant improvements in our knowledge regarding the pathogenesis of diabetic foot problems and in the health care treatment of this condition have taken place.
