Leprosy, or Hansen’s Disease, is a mycobacterial disease which manifestations, course and prognosis are strictly associated to the patient’s immune system. Leprosy is a serious infectious disease, for both the patient (because of disabilities and social consequences) and thecommunity. Early diagnosis reduces disabilities and transmission.
